HQ Raleigh, tekMountain Announce Reciprocal Co-Working Relationship

WILMINGTON & RALEIGH, N.C. -- HQ Community, which has entrepreneurial co-working communities in Raleigh, Charlotte, and Greensboro, and tekMountain, a technology incubator, accelerator, and co-workspace in Wilmington, are excited to announce a reciprocal relationship providing their members with shared access to workspace across the state. This collaborative partnership will play a critical role in growing North Carolina’s statewide entrepreneurial ecosystem. Members of each organization will gain access to the other’s workspace and programming, as well as connections to investment capital, mentorship, and support resources in all four cities.  This increased level of entrepreneurial density and connectivity will spur economic development across North Carolina, providing entrepreneurs in each region with greater opportunity to scale their ventures.

Says Liz Tracy, Director of HQ Raleigh, “We’ve been fostering a relationship with tekMountain since their co-working space opened a few years ago, and we’re excited to see that relationship formalize into one that will continue to connect the startup community across North Carolina.”

tekMountain and HQ Community’s new reciprocal model creates a combined footprint of over 150,000 square feet of entrepreneurial workspace across the Triangle, Triad, Charlotte, and Wilmington areas.

"By partnering with HQ Community we’ve grown our collective tech epicenters without overlap," said Brett Martin, tekMountain founder and CEO. "This partnership provides entrepreneurs and investors with a permanent connection to a thriving North Carolina based innovation ecosystem."

Additional details surrounding this new partnership will be shared during the ExitEvent Wilmington Startup Social at tekMountain on Friday, July 29th.
