Triangle British-American Business Council Event to Highlight Innovation in Medicine, Healthcare

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -- The Triangle/Eastern North Carolina Chapter of the British-American Business Council will host its first 2016 Business Exchange networking and educational event February 11 at GlaxoSmithKline’s Building 5 Auditorium, located at 5 Moore Drive in Research Triangle Park. Jamey Millar, GSK senior vice president for managed markets and government affairs, and Maureen O’Connor, executive vice president at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina and president of Mosaic Health Solutions, will speak about innovation in medicine and healthcare.

About Jamey Millar
Jamey Millar is senior vice president, managed markets and government affairs for GSK’s U.S. pharmaceuticals. In this capacity, Jamey leads all U.S. payer functions as well as government relations and public policy. Jamey continues to serve as a member of the corporate leadership team as he did in his prior role as vice president and head of the U.S. oncology business. Jamey has extensive sales and marketing experience working with providers, hospitals, health systems, and public and private payers across therapeutic areas including respiratory, GSK’s largest therapeutic area. Prior to joining GSK in 2001, Jamey spent 11 years with Procter & Gamble, where he held a variety of positions, including country manager for the U.K., Netherlands and Ireland.

About Maureen Kelley O'Connor
Maureen Kelley O’Connor joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina in 2000 and is executive vice president of diversified businesses for BCBSNC and president of Mosaic Health Solutions, a subsidiary company created to develop and drive market-facing solutions to meet the needs of consumers and other stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem. Prior to taking on this role, she served as chief strategy and innovation officer, responsible for the healthcare and clinical divisions of the company, network relationships and health system innovation, data analytics and insights, strategy, and new business development.
