NC IDEA Announces Search for Executive Director

DURHAM, N.C. -- NC IDEA, an organization committed to supporting entrepreneurial business innovation and economic advancement in North Carolina, announced today the launch of its search for a new Executive Director to lead the organization following its recent conversion to a private foundation. NC IDEA’s board of directors has retained search firm Elinvar to support the process and assist in finding and screening candidates.

NC IDEA is seeking a leader who will establish the direction, infrastructure and strategy to fulfill the mission of the organization, while managing the foundation’s day-to-day operations and activities. The Executive Director will partner with NC IDEA’s board of directors to develop strategies for investment in the entrepreneurial ecosystem throughout North Carolina and operationalize these strategies to achieve maximum impact for entrepreneurs in our state. He or she will guide the annual grant-making process and help make connections and leverage relationships with key players in NC’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and around the country. The search process is expected to unfold over the next two to four months, with a new Executive Director targeted to be in place by March 2016.
