The CLTC designation can be obtained in one of two ways: an intensive, two-day, live interactive course taught by experienced instructors, or online. Both options require students to pass a comprehensive, proctored exam.

The integrity of the course is evidenced by the granting of continuing education credits in all 50 U.S. states, as well as by the CFP Board of Standards.

CLTC also offers additional training options including continuing education (CE) and non-CE presentations on various topics related to long-term care planning and the proper use of insurance.  A one-day Immersion program couples LTC planning principles with practical applications for financial advisors and insurance sales professionals.
