Bobbitt Renovates VSH Carolinas’ Vet Office in Cary

CARY, N.C. -- Bobbitt Design Build recently completed renovations to the Cary location of Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas (VSH) located at 6405 Tryon Road in Cary. The fit-up reconfigured the office and lab/treatment areas to improve efficiency and maximize patient capacity. Both of these areas and one exam room were modernized with a fresh look, using materials made to withstand the tough environment of an animal hospital. The scope of work also included accommodating a linear accelerator – one of only a few on the East Coast – that is used in the treatment of oncology patients.

VSH Carolinas tasked Bobbitt to design a plan around its ongoing operations, while allowing the veterinarians to continue serving patients during construction. This required careful consideration and special coordination throughout the entire process.

“This is the second construction project where we have worked with Bobbitt Design Build,” said practice owner Dr. Kevin Concannon. “Throughout the design process in both projects their expertise has been quite evident. Bobbitt’s design-build process and turn-key approach made our lives easier so we could concentrate on running our business. Having someone who understands our needs was very helpful, and we trust them to get it done right.”

VSH Carolinas selected Bobbitt based on the successful 2012 VSH project in Durham.
