Tribute Companies Continues to Transform the South Side of Downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Tribute Companies Inc., a development firm owned and directed by Mark L. Maynard Sr., today announced plans to redevelop the industrial property at 1510 S. 3rd Street into a mixed use second phase of South Front Apartments. South Front Phase II development plans follow a recent approval by the Wilmington Planning Commission to rezone the vacant property from Light Industrial to Urban Mixed Use.

“The rezoning from Light Industrial to Urban Mixed Use makes it possible to transform an industrial warehouse complex into 53 multifamily residential units and 3,700 square feet of commercial space,” states Mark Maynard, president of Tribute Companies.

The development of South Front Phase II builds on the success of Tribute’s South Front Apartments. “South Front Apartments, with 216 units, is 100% occupied and has had a resident waiting list since opening. It is our hope that South Front Phase II development will further contribute to the vibrant and flourishing area of South Front,” Maynard continues.

Tribute is also currently seeking tenants for the commercial space that will occupy a portion of South Front Phase II. If interested, please direct all inquiries to Mark Maynard Jr., Co-Director of Tribute Investment & Development Inc.
