Joel Harris Appointed to Top Leadership Position at TeleHealth Services

RALEIGH, N.C. -- ITOCHU International Inc. has announced the appointment of Joel Harris as President and CEO of the parent company of TeleHealth Services effective April 1, 2015. Mr. Harris, currently CEO of Avidex, has served in a variety of senior management positions at TeleHealth since interning as an MBA student in 1996. His assignments have included Director of Corporate Planning, Vice President of Product Development, and Senior Vice President of Operations. Mr. Harris built the team that developed the ground-breaking TigrVue interactive patient engagement system, managed operations in healthcare, corporate and hospitality business lines, and provided front line client engagement with some of the nation’s largest healthcare and information technology companies.

Mr. Harris holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the Ohio State University and a MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He has also worked in engineering and strategic consulting positions with Marathon Oil, Ernst & Young, LLP, and Pfizer, Inc. as well as being a veteran of the United Sates Marine Corps.

Mr. Fleming is retiring from TeleHealth after 14 years as President and CEO and 20 plus years of service. Mr. Naohiko Yoshikawa, SVP & General Manager, Machinery Division, ITOCHU International Inc. stated, “ITOCHU has great respect for the tremendous accomplishments of Mr. Fleming while serving as CEO of TLC.”
