Carolina Advanced Digital's combined expertise of wired, wireless and security makes the company unique in the space. The scope of their capabilities is also singular: because their engineers are trained and certified by both CWNP industry certs and vendor-specific certs – including HP, Cisco, Aruba, Meru and Juniper – they can service virtually any 802.11 WiFi project or solution.

Aruba Networks is a manufacturer of enterprise class wireless LAN and edge access networking equipment used to build Wi-Fi networks. Customers include KPMG, California State University at Los Angeles, Edzan Hotels & Suites in Qatar, and China’s Dalian Wanda Group Co. On March 2, Hewlett-Packard (also a Carolina Advanced Digital partner) announced that it will acquire Aruba Networks in a deal valued at $2.7 billion. This move continues HP's shift toward enterprise services for the wireless market.

Aruba's products are tailor-made to pair with Carolina Advanced Digital’s services: their devices are tested and certified for federal security standards, which are increasingly being adopted as standard for state and local governments, as well as numerous industries. Aruba's products are also extremely flexible, offering affordable solutions to small- to mid-size organizations with less than 50 APs, as well as very large enterprises with thousands of APs.

“The security offerings built into Aruba's products complement our company's focus and competency on security,” said John Jabbusch, President and Chief Engineer at Carolina Advanced Digital. “Not all WiFi vendors put security at the top of their feature lists, but Aruba does. Our customers prioritize security and adding their portfolio of products gives us a broader offering to meet clients' needs.”

“Aruba's portfolio also empowers us to offer extensions and integrations to the wired network that are independent of the wired or wireless vendor,” said Jennifer Minella, Vice President of Engineering at Carolina Advanced Digital. “We can offer best-of-breed management solutions that can manage and monitor any WiFi – not just Aruba – and can help onboard and secure endpoint devices, guests, and offer additional Bring Your Own Device and Mobile Device Management capabilities.”

Further details regarding specific products of the partnership will be announced shortly.
