CrossComm Names First New CEO After 15 Years in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. -- CrossComm, Inc., a mobile and web app development studio in existence for over 15 years in downtown Durham, has named Justin Thomas as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Founder Don Shin sees this change as necessary in order to facilitate the next phase of company growth and cultivate greater opportunity for leadership development. “Since his arrival, Justin has brought a lot of fresh ideas and unique strengths to CrossComm, and has earned the trust of our clients and team members” said Shin. “We’re very serious about leadership development, which I believe only happens when coupled with opportunity to make real decisions and changes. I’m thrilled to give Justin the reins to take the company in new and exciting directions.”

Thomas previously served as CrossComm’s Chief Business Development Officer. Prior to joining the company, he worked for Thomson Reuters in the Research Triangle Park as a Sr. Project Manager, where he gained a wealth of experience in mobile app platforms and achieving joint success with clients. He recently completed his MBA with honors from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School in Dublin, Ireland, where he was awarded the Student of the Year award.

“My previous role overseeing business development allowed me to appreciate the talent and potential of this organization. Thomas said. I am honored to now contribute as CEO and committed to growing our business while maintaining our mission of using technology to positively influence today’s generation. I look forward to engaging the local community and helping organizations with our expertise in mobile and web development and consulting.”

Shin will continue to serve CrossComm in the role of President & Chairman, where he will focus on analyzing upcoming trends within the mobile and digital media spaces and helping the company and its clients leverage those trends.
